Oooh Gucci!

Well after the solstice and Gucci's spring/summer 09 collection being shown in the world's fashion capitals, I've caught some of my favorite men's wear (and a little minidress I just love). Perhaps it's cliche` to love Gucci, but I just can't help myself. Gucci is white hot this summer, and it looks great on men. The best thing about Gucci, is that the line is classic and never falls short of expectation. This year's spring and summer collection was no exception. White was everywhere, clean, pristine and ready-to-wear, Gucci brought the heat from beginning to end. I have NO qualms with a man who can rock white with confidence. I also love to see a nice, well-put together ensemble made simple with a plain white t-shirt (it has to show a little collar bone action for added sex appeal though).

The jackets this season are nearly priceless, ok not priceless, the prices are actually sky high, but these jackets are pretty sexy. With the sleeves casually pushed up for a laidback look, this white jacket with hues of grey is Gucci genius at its best (And after the death of my very favorite icon this jacket reminds me of the King of Pop).

Keeping up with Gucci's white hotness, this all-white ensemble is quintessential for the stylish man's wardrobe. The jacket with the dramatic collar and white-framed Gucci sunglasses makes for a posh and stately look. The slacks worn by each of the Gucci models have the perfect fit, not so tight that we feel disrespected for having to view the family jewels and not so loose we expect a gang sign at the end of the runway.

There's something extremely regal about wearing white, I strongly suggest the wearing of white, at least once this summer.

Sienna Miller from July Vogue

I had to sneak this one in for the ladies, I'll never post Gucci and not include at least one minidress, especially when it's this sexy. As worn by Sienna Miller in the July issue of Vogue Magazine, this Gucci mini is perfect. The Emerald green and black sequin and silk is brilliant. If you're anything like me, you love to show some leg. Whether your short, tall or in between a minidress and sky high heels can showcase and lengthen legs and exaggerate the sexiest muscles. Now, for me, leggings wouldn't be an essential, but to each her own I always say.

Meet Najee`

Another self-proclaimed fashionista, with good reason of course. I'm a fashion enthusiast and future fashion journalist. I will update A La Mode with everything from Adidas to Christian Louboutin, 10 Deep to Topshop. There's so much more to fashion than clothes, and I'm going to give you my take on all of it, including hair, nails, make-up, jewelry, shoes, designers, models and the all-too-forgotten MEN. Yes, men (they don't get the attention they deserve in the world of fashion) and more.

Anyway, about ME: I'm small and I dress like it. I have a "less is more" attitude and hate to see things overdone. I am a strong believer that fashion is an art. You dress yourself everyday, what you wear says so much about who you are. I love classic designers and I admire the newer ones. I have plenty of favorites, far too many to name. My purpose is to spread the word, what's hot, what's posing as hot, what's just not, where you can get "hot" for cheap, and to hear what you think about it all. I do it For the Love of Fashion.

Genesis

Typically, there are millions of bloggers telling you the 411 on their own lives. Fortunately for you, I don't care to do all that. I'm Najee`, quite possibly one of thee most fashionable people you'll find walking the good earth to date. Ok, maybe not really, but I do have the deepest love and respect for all things fashion and I stay fly. With that said, along with my focus in fashion, journalism and photography, I feel qualified in using this web log space as a place to throw all my feelings about fashion to anyone who will take the time to read. This should be fun...
